“Science doesn’t purvey absolute truth. Science is a mechanism, a way of trying to improve your knowledge of nature. It’s a system for testing your thoughts against the universe and seeing whether they match. This works not just for the ordinary aspects of science, but for all of life” – Isaac Asimov
With great honor I welcome you to the web page of the Department of Science. Through this website you will ind valuable information about research, academic programs, achievements and career opportunities for the Science students.
In the field of science nothing is easy but after learning the right way things become easier. The scientific knowledge is all about facts, figures, observations and discoveries and it is not gained until it is thoroughly absorbed and assimilated. Therefore, the faculty is committed in developing teamwork and using different cooperative learning strategies among students to make science more interesting.
Through our Science Curriculum we are here to create magic in the field of Biology and Chemistry, the two very strong subjects required in the science field for students to further pursue their tertiary education in Science.
We also create awareness among students on the importance of Nature, Anti Pollution and Climate Change which is part of the syllabi from Year 9 to Year 13.
The faculty ensures that the students are provided with the best learning materials, resources and good lab facilities in order to gain experience on the use of lab apparatus and equipments, proper care is taken while carrying out experiments where students are provided with proper goggles, hand gloves and lab coats.
We are on a mission to develop, promote and facilitate science education as a change and challenge so that students are able to build beyond subject knowledge and observe experiments and think about nature and awaken their desire to learn and excel in science subjects.
